Draft motion for a resolution "Protection of livestock farming and wolves in Europe"

The AGRI draft motion for a resolution asks for action in support of livestock farmers across Europe who are faced with the loss of an increasing number of animals due to attacks by large predators, in particular wolves. The resolution would be preceded by oral questions to the Council and the Commission on the subject.

Motion for a resolution on the citizens’ initiative “End the cage age”

The Commission Decision (EU) 2018/1222 of 5 September 2018 registered the European Citizens' Initiative (ECI) entitled ‘End the Cage Age’. The Initiative result was submitted to the Commission on 2 October 2020, after having gathered the support almost of 1.4 million signatories in 18 Member States. Among other things, the Initiative calls on the Commission to end keeping farmed animals in cages and to propose a legislation to prohibit its use.
