On 27 June 2023, the Committees on Budgets (BUDG) and on Budgetary Control (CONT) held a public hearing on personnel and other resources at EU Agencies, Bodies and Joint Undertakings.

On 27 June 2023, CONT Members participated in the Workshop "Sponsorships of EU Presidencies: stocktaking and perspectives" that allowed a debate with a panel of external experts.

On 27 June 2023, CONT Committee held exchanges of views with Ville ITÄLÄ, OLAF Director-General, on the OLAF Report 2022, and with Dušan STERLE, Chair of the OLAF Supervisory Committee, on the Supervisory Committee Activity Report 2022. There was also an exchange of views with Julia LAFFRANQUE, the Controller of procedural guarantees appointed in May 2022, who presented her first annual report.

On 26 June 2023, the CONT Committee held an interparliamentary committee meeting on “The role of national parliaments in overseeing the spending of EU funds and the Next Generation EU plan”.

On 25 May 2023, the study entitled "The use of Contract Agents in decentralised EU Agencies" was presented at the CONT Committee meeting.

On 24 May 2023, the Committees on Budgets and on Budgetary Control jointly had an exchange of views with Commissioner Hahn on the implementation of the Rule of Law Conditionality Regulation.

On 24 May 2023, the Budgetary Control Committee held a hearing and voted on the renewal of Ms Ildikó Gáll-Pelcz as the Hungarian Member of the European Court of Auditors.

On 24 May 2023, Pietro Russo, Member of the European Court of Auditors, presented special report 06/2023 "Conflict of interest in EU cohesion and agricultural spending" to CONT Committees, with invited Members from REGI and AGRI Committees.

On 24 May 2023, the Committee on Budgetary Control (CONT) held a public hearing on the application of the rules on conflicts of interests in the management of EU funds in the Member States.
