Briefings
The Single Supervisory Mechanism (SSM) is one of the main pillars of the banking union and aims to ensure safety and soundness of the European banking system, increase financial integration and ensure consistent supervision. It comprises the ECB and the national competent authorities (NCAs) in the Euro Area and other participating EU Member States.
