Workshops

Workshops are organised by the policy departments and enable members to put questions to and exchange views with experts on subjects associated with parliamentary business or subjects of current interest. They are not necessarily held in public but may be held during a committee meeting.

On 29 September, the Policy Department of the Directorate-General for External Policies organised for the Committee on Development a workshop on "Enhancing Policy Coherence for Development". The workshop was chaired by MEP Janina Ochojska.

Environmental crimes have become a wide spread phenomenon worldwide and are widely recognised as one of the most profitable forms of transnational criminal activity. Bringing together a wide range of international experts and policy-makers, the workshop, held on 19 May 2022 seek to identify existing gaps in policy and legal responses, and generate debates about how the identified gaps can be filled.

The workshop’s aim was to inform DEVE Members on the ways and modalities of financing of development under the European Financial Architecture for Development (EFAD). It took place on 7 February 2022.
