At the initiative of the Vice-President of the European Parliament, Evelyn Regner, and the Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality, the European Parliament will hold its third European Gender Equality Week during the last week of October 2022.
On 16 March 2022, the Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality is organising a side event to the 66th session of the UN Commission on the Status of Women (UN CSW 66) The side event will take place between 17.00 – 18.45 CET (12.00 – 13.45 EST).

An inclusive economy for women in the green and digital transformation - side event
On Wednesday 27 May 2021 the FEMM Committee organised a side event to the Conference on the Future of Europe on “Building an inclusive economy for women in the green and digital transformation".
At the initiative of the FEMM Committee, the European Parliament held its second European Gender Equality Week during the last week of October 2021.
On Tuesday 15 June 2021 between 16h45-17h45 the FEMM committee held an exchange of views on “The Generation Equality Forum, Paris“.
On Tuesday 25 May 2021, the FEMM and LIBE committees held an exchange of views entitled ‘The Istanbul Convention - 10th anniversary, including the impact of the withdrawal of Turkey’.
On Tuesday 25 May 2021 the FEMM and LIBE Committees considered the draft report with recommendations to the Commission on identifying gender-based violence as a new area of crime listed in Article 83(1) TFEU.
On 23 March 2021, the Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality (FEMM), in association with the Committee on Development (DEVE), organized the side event on "Enhancing gender equality and women's empowerment in the Covid-19 recovery”. Gender Studies are at stake in Hungary due to the decision of the government cancelling the funding of the two existing master programmes in this field.
