During the PECH committee meeting of 19 February 2020 an exchange of views on "Challenges and Opportunities for the fishing sector in the Black Sea" took place. The presentations of the experts highlighted the main concerns regarding the fishing sector in the Black Sea and key aspects for the recovery of sturgeons, the most valuable fish species from the Black Sea.
On 3 December 2019, the Policy Department for Structural and Cohesion Policies presented a study on "Seafood industry integration in all EU Member States with a coastline" in the Committee on Fisheries.
