On Monday 27 March 2023, from 16:30 to 18:30, the ECON Committee held a follow-up public hearing on "Energy derivatives markets, oversight challenges related to market integrity and financial stability risks". This public hearing contributed to understanding the current situation regarding the energy derivatives markets and potential actions needed at Union level to contain financial stability risks.

On Tuesday 8 November 2022, from 9:00 to 11:00, the ECON Committee will hold a public hearing on "The economic impact of EU sanctions on Russia and the EU economy".

On 30 May, 15:45 – 17:45, the joint ECON-ENVI Committee will hold a public hearing on the Commission delegated Regulation amending delegated Regulation (EU) 2021/2139 as regards economic activities in certain energy sectors and Delegated Regulation (EU) 2021/2178 as regards specific public disclosures for those economic activities, commonly referred to as the Taxonomy complementary climate delegated act.
