About
Welcome words
In this half term, successful regulation of artificial intelligence and shaping the Digital Services Act are among priorities. JURI currently reforms Service of Documents and Taking of Evidence Regulations and aims to conclude the Representative Actions Directive. Unblocking Women on Boards and CBCR files, work on alignment of EU legal acts to the legal framework of the Lisbon Treaty and on comitology reform all remain on the agenda.
JURI launches initiatives in area of companies' due diligence obligations, corporate non-financial reporting, liability for environmental damage, statute for European cross-border associations, challenges of sport events' organisers in digital world, funding of litigation, impact of intimate partner violence and custody rights on women and children.
JURI helps Parliament to build informed position on legal issues (immunities, choice of legal base, disputes before the Court of Justice, to name a few). It reports on application of EU law and subsidiarity.
I hope you find our website informative. I thank you for the interest in JURI work.
