Members of the BUDG and the CONT Committees exchanged views with Commission's representatives, the Chair of the EU Agencies Network, three EU Agencies and the European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO) on resources issues faced by Agencies, Bodies and Joint Undertakings, as regularly flagged in the budgetary cycle and the discharge.
The invited speakers provided an overview of the budgetary framework in which resources are allocated and managed by Agencies and Joint Undertakings and the general strategies put in place in order to cope with the limited resources. Concrete cases were presented based on the experience of the European Labour Authority (ELA), the European Institute for Gender Equality (EIGE), the EU Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) and the European Public Prosecutor's Office (EPPO).
