Accountability arrangements in the area of central banking

On Monday 5 June 2023, the European Parliament President Roberta Metsola and the European Central Bank President Christine Lagarde signed arrangements on structuring the interaction practices between the two institutions in the area of central banking.
The accountability arrangements have been clarified in the form of an Exchange of Letters, aiming to promote continued common understanding and effective cooperation.
