COVI Committee votes on its draft report

COVI Committee Members voted on Monday, 12 June, to vote its draft report which concludes the year and three months a half long intensive work of the Committee on collecting the evidence and lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic and the impact it had on citizens and their fundamental rights, the businesses, the health sector and international community.
Following over 3200 amendments tabled by the Members and over two months of internal negotiations COVI Members from various political groups managed to agree on a set of over 350 compromise amendments which will be put to vote at the committee in Strasbourg on Monday evening. Final vote: 23 in favour, 13 against, 1 abstention.
