SANT: Hearing on ‘Preventing non-communicable diseases’

On the 1st of June SANT organised a hearing on ‘Preventing non-communicable diseases’, which focused on measures to prevent such diseases. NCDs refers to a group of conditions that are not mainly caused by an acute infection, result in long-term health consequences, often create a need for long-term treatment and care (cancers, cardiovascular disease, diabetes and chronic lung illnesses). Hearing will be followed by an exchange of views on SANT own-initiative report on ‘Mental health’.
